In the early to mid eighth century, amidst much turmoil in the church, a priest was struggling with doubts about the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, a central teaching of the Faith.  One morning, while celebrating Mass for the town's people of Lanciano, at the climax of the consecration, the host became visible flesh and wine visible blood.  This miracle has withstood the test of time over thirteen centuries and underwent an intense modern scientific scrutiny in the 1970's and 80's, the results of which authenticated the miraculous nature of the flesh and blood species.  A Miracle in Lanciano tells the powerful story of the Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano within the context of the universal longing in man for ultimate Truth, Beauty and Goodness.  There is something for all audiences in this fascinating play, which gives a beautiful testament to one of the most crucial and important beliefs of the apostolic Christian Church, the real, substantial Presence of Jesus Christ in the most holy Eucharist.
